Blog/Article

In recent days tariffs are imposed by the USA and the giant tech companies of the world are the ones affected. But Yang Yuanqing, CEO of Lenovo says "As long as we know what the end game is, we will adjust quickly ". Thus means that the company is always ready to take quick actions to adapt with tariffs by having new strategies. Also he has mentioned that " Tariffs aren't a challenge. It's something else ". Here he has mentioned about moving the manufacturing bases to new places will help to buffer the cost/price increase due to tariffs. Thus lenovo has invested in moving the manufacturing bases. Thus there is less to worry about the price increase. “The challenge is not the tariff itself. It’s the uncertainty” which implies that lenovo isn't worried about tariffs but the irregular change of tariffs.
