What role will virtual/augmented reality play in academia?

With the rapid development of higher quality VR and AR headsets, do you believe that it will soon be adopted in the classroom?

    VR and AR are still far off... many improvements needs to be done before they hit the classrooms. Maybe could be presented some way as a gimmick, but it's still expensive and gets lots of people sick

    Just touching on the part about it making people sick, I think that's an issue that the younger generation won't run into as much. I believe growing up with VR will allow the next generation to get over the motion sickness.
