So... many of my colleagues are seeking career advancement. Several teachers that I know are working on a higher degree in educational leadership. They hope to become an administrator.
Sometimes I feel a little funny because I don't necessarily have ambitions to advance my career. I'm pretty happy in the classroom. Often times it seems that I am supposed to want to be more than "just a teacher." But teaching is a profession career. That being said, I think everyone should continue learning and growing.
Any other plain ol' teachers out there who are happy staying in the classroom?
