If you're a US citizen and made over $14,600 last year, you need to file a tax return (unless you're still on your parent/guardian's return). AARP (the retired person's organization) provides free tax preparation or preparation help if you have an uncomplicated tax return/situation. College students generally have uncomplicated tax returns. You can be of any age to use the service and the preparers are IRS trained each year.
