I've completely switched my lab notebook to being OneNote on a tablet, and I think it's had a positive impact on my note-taking ability. For example, I can more easily color-code my notes as I take them, take/insert pictures directly into my notebook, insert links to valuable resources, etc. Is there really any benefit to doing things the old fashioned way with a pen and paper?
